Has Netflix’s Bridgerton inspired you to visit Bath? Here are our picks for Regency-style places to stay in the city, from luxurious hotels to boutique guesthouses.

We can’t promise a dashing Duke to welcome you, but you can expect luxury decor, decadent touches and first-class service!

The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

The jewel in the crown of the Royal Crescent – the exterior of which features frequently in Bridgerton – is a five-star haven of elegance and tranquillity. Each room in The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is individually designed with sumptuous fabrics and furnishings, and many boast floor-to-ceiling views of the Crescent lawn from grand Georgian windows; we’re sure the Featheringtons would approve!

Master bedrooms are spacious, and Heritage rooms are decorated in warm, relaxing tones. For a special occasion, why not book one of the 11 suites? Choose rooms with four-poster beds, gorgeous living areas with sofas and armchairs, eighteenth-century desks, and glittering chandeliers. Family and dog-friendly rooms are also available (charges apply).

Don't miss the hotel's 'Bath on Screen' package, a perfect way to discover more about the city's role in Bridgerton and other large-scale productions. You'll be led by expert local Blue Badge guide Fred Mawer on a two-hour private tour of all the key filming locations used in the hit series, including for the Featherington home, Lady Danbury's mansion, and the Modiste.

Along the way, you'll visit locations featured on the silver screen in films such as the recent Wonka musical starring Timothée Chalamet, as well as Les Misérables and The Duchess. Back at the hotel, you'll enjoy a splendid two-night stay in one of the beautiful rooms or suites, a Full English breakfast each morning, and a sumptous three-course lunch on one of the afternoons.

Francis Hotel Bath

The Francis Hotel is based in another of the city’s scenic Georgian spaces, Queen Square. It’s made up of seven of the square’s original eighteenth-century townhouses, with pretty, Regency-inspired interiors inside.

To celebrate the release of Bridgerton's third series and Bath's status as Jane Austen's former home, the hotel has launched a special 'Regency Experience' package. Step inside the Featherington house with tickets to No.1 Royal Crescent, followed by a trip to The Jane Austen Centre, then head back to the hotel for a signature 'The Daphne' cocktail inspired by Bridgerton's heroine. There's also a chance to savour The Francis' traditional Regency-style afternoon tea, and bed down in comfort for two nights in one of the hotel's opulent rooms.

Hotel Indigo Bath

Hotel Indigo, based on South Parade in the city centre, consists of 11 Georgian townhouses designed by eighteenth-century architect John Wood the Elder. Its 166 rooms are modern (perfect for an Instagram snap or two), while remaining sympathetic to the Georgian era. The Romance and Mischief-themed rooms are flirtatious and fun with a red velvet and playing card feel. Best of all, it's just steps away from Bath Spa railway station and Bath Bus Station, so you won't have to haul your luggage too far!

Look out for other quirky design touches such as Regency portrait pictures on the walls, beautiful roll-top baths and vibrant carpets in bold patterns.

Dukes Hotel

Where better to stay for Bridgerton fans than this impressive boutique hotel which occupies two Georgian townhouses on Edward Street? Flming not only took place outside the hotel for the show's third season, but also just around the corner at The Holburne Museum, which plays the role of Lady Danbury's mansion. The hotel also sits just off of Great Pulteney Street, one of the finest boulevards in England.

Bailbrook House Hotel

Five minutes from the city centre (or a little more if you’re travelling by horse and carriage!) you’ll find Bailbrook House Hotel – part of the Hand Picked Hotels Group. Once a private residence in the early 1790s, the hotel is one of only two Grade II listed country house hotels in Bath and retains all of its eighteenth-century charm.

You’ll feel like you’re stepping into the home of the Bridgertons as you enter the Jane Austen Suite, with a cherry wood four-poster as the centrepiece, and a private entrance from the balcony above reception.
